Day 00 - It's a start anyway.

We flew into Cairns last night and would be starting on our 'Australia's Longest Shortcut' tomorrow morning. For the next 14 days we will go across Australia from NE to SW.

We walked along the Esplanade in the morning and had lunch with Jenny on Holloways Beach. It was quite warm and sunny during the walk (as you can probably see in the following pictures.

Quite a few people out walking (not that it was early or anything - didn't leave the hotel until 9.30am)
